Even farmers in the northwest had been getting by with some light grazing up until now, but this week has finally called a halt to grazing for 2024.

Many farmers find themselves in the situation where they are not sure if they should continue grazing beyond the closing target cover or house now.

After a challenging year, it’s a welcome relief to get some reprieve on the weather front as grazing comes to an end.

While ground conditions are excellent for the most part, it will be a lack of grass that will force any stock indoors.
